All of our designers and instructors earn their living from their patterns, kits, and designs.  It is incumbent upon us to honor their copyrights.  Below is the Beader's Ethics Statement.

Beader's Ethics Statement

  • It is unethical to copy an artist’s work to sell without permission from the artist.

  • It is unethical to copy any work that has appeared in a magazine, book, or website and represent it in any venue as an original design.  Most artists will give permission to use their designs as long as they get credit for the design.

  • It is unethical to teach a beading project that has appeared in a magazine, book, or website without permission from the artist.

  • It is unethical to teach a beading project learned in another teacher’s class without the teacher’s permission.

E-mail or call the artist for permission.  Sometimes you may need to purchase patterns from the artist to provide to each of your students.  Many times all the artist wants is credit for their work.
